Dr Claudia Rutherford
Dr Rutherford is Quality of Life Research Fellow at the School of Psychology, University of Sydney, and a visiting Research Fellow at the Leeds Institute of Clinical Trials Research, University of Leeds, UK. She has a PhD in Health Outcome Measurement and specialises in patient-reported outcomes (PRO), including health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and symptom burden. Her research areas have focused on the development of valid and reliable PRO measures and decision aids to support clinical decision making, and all aspect of PRO inclusion in clinical trial protocols. Her current research is investigating quality of life outcomes and treatment decision-making in ductal carcinoma in situ of the breast (DCIS), and development of DCIS-specific decision support resources, in collaboration with BCNA.
