Dr Anna Finnane
Anna Finnane is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the The University of Queensland’s School of Medicine, with a background in public health and epidemiology. She has particular interests in study design and outcome measures in health research, and the impact of these on the success of translational research. She completed her PhD at Queensland University of Technology, exploring the issues faced by people with lymphoedema in the long-term treatment and management of the condition. This research program was developed after identifying the little attention previously given to patient-reported treatment outcomes in this area of research. Her current research explores the use of technology to improve access to health services and the barriers preventing successful translation of Telehealth research into practice.
