Herbert P. Wagner
By trade I am an Analytical/Environmental Chemist (MSc) with over 50 years’ experience in Canada and the US, and have over 50 scientific publications for the analysis of trace contaminants in beverages and drinking water – including 6 US Environmental Protection Agency Compliance Monitoring Methods for the analysis of drinking water. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and since that time I have spent my time continually learning about male breast cancer (MBC), putting together and maintaining a first-rate website which is currently being updated, www.malebreastcancere.ca and developed a MBC Facebook page. I have spoken publicly through the media and at conferences in order to increase male breast cancer awareness and therefore increase the survival rate for men diagnosed with breast cancer. I continue to work closely with John Boyages, the Australian breast cancer oncologist and author of “Male Breast Cancer – Taking Control” to increase MBC awareness, early detection, survival rates and gain better access for men to be included in breast cancer clinical trials, globally.
