Dr Melanie Price
Dr Melanie Price is a research psychologist with a clinical background in nursing. She is the Executive Director of the Psycho-Oncology Co-operative Research Group (PoCoG) and Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Medical Psychology and Evidence-based Decision-making (CeMPED) at the University of Sydney. Melanie has a special interest in the role of psychosocial factors in the development and outcomes of cancer, particularly breast cancer, and collaborates closely with the Kathleen Cuningham Consortium for Research into Familial Breast cancer (kConFab). She is also involved in translational research has played a central role in the development of the Australian Anxiety and Depression Clinical Pathway for Adults with Cancer and is a CI on a Cancer Institute NSW Translational Program grant to evaluate implementation of the pathway into routine practice in a cluster randomised controlled trial.
